- I am working on manuscript for a book on the
influence of Paul Klee on composers. I entered
into the WWW the Klee title "Twittering
Machine" and up popped your site. But to be
honest, I don't know who I am dealing with. Who
are you--Sheila and Paul? Who is the
"I" on the "compositions"
page? What can you tell me about "Three
Machines"--with the 3rd movement titled
"Twittering Machine." How did the Klee
inpiration come to you? Are you a long-time Klee
admirer? When did you begin "Three
Machines" and when do you imagine that you
will finish it? Can yhou give me anything
biographical about whoever the composer of
"Three Machines" is? Many thanks. I
have discovered 25 poieces of music titled
"Twittering Machine" and I want to add
your to the list. But please give me some
information on the piece, its inspiration, and
you. sincerely yours, Stphen Ellis, U.S.A.

- Hello, Paul and Sheila! I was sent this page as a
link in my e-mail. At first, I thought it was my
husband (Paul, of course) who made another
webpage. I guess not! I thought we were the only
couple in the world named Paul and Sheila. I
guess we aren't! Please visit our page, and send
us an e-mail. Paul and Sheila Wolden

- I find it hard to believe that over 4000 people
have looked at your site. They can't all be
penguins, surely? I went to a school fancy dress
contest about 35 years ago as The Penguin from
Batman and the headmistress announced me thus:
And now David Collins as A Penguin I felt
mortified and wanted the ground to swallow me up.
But amazingly, despite the duff intro I won a box
of choccies.

- Looking for someone to take pictures of graves at
Village Church, Whaplode. Robert and Elizabeth
Usher and Daughters, Marion and Maria. They are
parents and sisters of my Greatgrandfather Henry
Usher, who came with John his brother to US
around 1868. I also understand that there are
christianing records that can be obtained. I have
established from LDS that Henry was Christianed
1836. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Perhaps the E-mail address of someone in
Whaplode, who could assist me. Many Thanks, Judy
Wood

- Hurry & get your Grainger pages complete! As
a big fan of his music I am always on the lookout
for other people's opinions on his work.
Unfortunately a lot of the discussion seems to
centre on the S&M side of his personality,
which of course was important but only a small
part of what I believe is a big &
thought-provoking musical & cultural legacy.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the late-night
Prom devoted to his work, and of course the Last
Night. People who haven't heard Tribute to Foster
are in for a treat. I'm also a lapsed recorder
player, not having played regularly in an
ensemble for about five years, although I
occasionally visit the Berkshire Recorder
Consort, who are a friendly group playing in
Bracknell. On my last visit I played bass in a
10-part arrangement of the finale to the 1812
overture!

- I really like the fact that I'm not the only
penguin lover in the world ( of coarse ) and I'm
glad to know there are many penguin webpages to
explore. And just to let you know your's is one I
visit more often than others, and I really enjoy
this.

- All I ever wanted out of the Internet was to see
two penguins on a see-saw. And now my wish has
been granted. Thanks. The rest of the site is
also looks very professional. I'll have to try
adding graphics to my own rather poor effort.

- Hi Sheila, Keep up the good work. However, I
would suggest a different colour to yellow for
the text - it is very hard to read against a
white page. Kind regards, Elizabeth in Bundaberg,
